Majority of occupational health services target low-educated individuals, new study reveals

A recent report by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health highlights significant disparities in the use of occupational health services, revealing that the majority of these services are utilized by individuals with lower levels of education. The study also uncovers differences in service usage based on gender, age, and socio-economic status.

The report, which examines data from 2019 to 2022, found that 62% of the service events recorded by doctors, nurses, and physiotherapists were directed toward individuals with lower educational levels.
