Man arrested after 1 injured in Southeast Portland stabbing

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A man was arrested for his alleged involvement in a stabbing in Southeast Portland early Sunday morning, police said.

Just after 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 12300 block of Southeast Ash Street on report on an assault.

On arrival, they found a person had been stabbed.

Officials say the victim is expected to survive.

After searching the area for possible suspects, officers eventually located and arrested 61-year-old Pablo Figueroa.

Figueroa is currently lodged in the Multnomah County Detention Center on various charges including first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
