My Dollar General foundation costs $5 but looks ‘super high-end’ – it’s been my go-to for years, I’d pay 4x the price
A MAKEUP fan has shared an affordable foundation buy that looks more affordable than it was.
She raved about the $5 Dollar General beauty find that looked “super high-end.”
Tammy, a makeup fan, shared a $5 foundation she’d been using for years[/caption]Tammy (@thenotarichgirl) shared the makeup recommendation in a TikTok video.
“This is a five-dollar foundation that I’ve been going back to forever and ever,” she said.
Dispensing a pump of Believe Beauty’s foundation on the back of her hand, she explained that the quality of the foundation was unbelievable for the price.
“It looks super super high-end. It looks fancy,” she said.
“If I’m wearing foundation in a video, there’s a 75 percent chance it’s this one.”
She applied the foundation to her bare skin with a brush, praising the “very thin” but clever formulation.
“I absolutely love it because it blends in very naturally without looking heavy,” she said.
The foundation, she added, was an excellent match for her oily skin.
“It doesn’t add to my oiliness, and it just looks like second skin,” she said.
Tammy added that after conclusive digging, she discovered that the product was only available in Dollar General stores.
“Believe Beauty is unfortunately only sold on Dollar General. I don’t even think you can get a lot of these things on their website,” she said.
Post-application, she showed off the foundation’s natural finish, comparing it to her bare face.
“Super subtle but really natural, but I feel like it actually gives you coverage without feeling heavy or cakey,” she said.
Tammy added that the foundation performed as if it were much more expensive.

“That doesn’t mean to raise the price, but I would still repurchase it.”
Others who’ve tried the foundation out for themselves agreed with her.
“This is the holy grail,” said one commenter.
“It’s so good!” said another.
“I used this in high school. I bought it today, too, because I missed it so much,” said a third.
She added that she’d repurchase the foundation even if the price went up four times[/caption]
