Columbus Clippers (59-56) - AAA
COL 3 - IOW 4
Logan Allen recorded his first loss for Columbus. Allen went 4.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and 1 walk. He struck out 3. Connor Gillespie bridged the gap between Allen and Aleman. Gillespie went 2.1 innings with 1 hit, 1 walk but struck out 5 batters. Franco Aleman finished the final Columbus frame, striking out 1 and walking 1.
Columbus offense shared the hits, with 6 batters contributing to the team’s 6 hits. But they were unable to piece enough together to get ahead of the Iowa Cubs (CHC). Myles Straw got his second home run of the season.

It is worth noting that Gabriel Arias was not in the line up for the 3rd game in a row. The Cleveland Guardians line up was slow to be posted for Friday night’s game. There’s always a chance of coincidence, but it is worth keeping an eye on the transactions page before tonight’s games.
Akron RubberDucks (65-47) - AA
AKR 8 - ERI 3
The RubberDucks rocked the Erie SeaWolves (DET) in Friday night’s matchup. Tommy Mace threw 4.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits. Mace walked 3 and struck out 1. Alaska Abney secured his 3rd win with Akron. Abney pitched 1.1 innings, giving up only 1 hit and striking out 1. Zane Morehouse pitched the 7th inning, allowing 1 hit, walking 1 batter, and striking out a batter.
Chase DeLauter and Joe Lampe both went 2-for-4 with 2 runs. Aaron Bracho also went 2-for-4, but only crossed home plate once. Milan Tolentine went 2-for-3 with a run and a walk. Kahlil Watson went 1-for-2 with a pair of runs and a pair of walks.

The game entered a rain delay after the 7th inning and was ultimately called in the RubberDucks’ favor.
Lake County Captains (65-47) - High - A
GL 5 - LC 2
Despite the loss, there was much to be excited about with the Captains. Travis Bazzana tied a Captains record with three doubles! Bazzana went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI.

The Captains got plenty of hits, but were unable to string anything together for runs.
Lynchburg Hillcats (59-51) - Low A
DE 5 - LYN 3
The Hillcats fell to the Down East Wood Ducks (TEX) on the back of a Jogly Garcia loss. Garcia went 4.0 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits. Garcia walked 2 batters but struck out 5.
Fran Alduey went 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk, a RBI, and a stolen base.
