Not that Grady Sizemore didn’t know what this team was, and even in his role as an org coach helped make it what it’s become, but imagine having to rummage through your coupon keeper every night to choose among this dreck to construct your lineup.

And frankly, that even goes for tonight’s starter, Garrett Crochet. The ace hasn’t even FACED an average of 15 batters over his last five starts (14.8), much less averaged five innings pitched (three, in fact). Some of this truncation is by design so as not to kill Crochet in his first season as a starter, but that 7.63 ERA is not a product of overprotectedness.

The southpaw has his paws full in trying to calm down a Houston team that has again arisen from the death we all wish on it. I’d tell you how those buggers line up, but approaching game time nothing’s been posted, so I’ll let you guess at which cheaters and progeny of cheaters will be facing the White Sox tonight.

It’s a 7:10 p.m. Central game, with broadcast options of either NBCSCH or WMVP-AM 1000, or both.
