British tourist falls 15ft to his death from Majorca hotel

A British tourist has died after falling 15ft from a hotel on the Spanish island of Mallorca, according to local media.

The 28-year-old was found dead by the entrance of the Reverence Mare hotel in the western resort town of Palma Nova.

He was discovered lying face down on the ground next to the hotel’s spa by the pool cleaner at around 7am, Ultima Hora reported.

Paramedics were called to the hotel just before midday after the man’s partner suffered an anxiety attack and required medical treatment.

Police believe the man accidentally fell to his death and had been partying the night before. The investigation remains ongoing.

It is unclear if he was staying at the hotel.

Hotel employees said they had walked by the pool at 2am and the man was not there, suggesting he fell between then and 7am, according to the local news outlet Cronica Balear.

His body has been taken to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Palma for an autopsy.
