Schenectady man pleads guilty to attempted murder
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man pleaded guilty in the case of an Albany shooting from September 2023. Deonte Dent, 24, pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the second degree.
Prosecutors said he shot at someone near Quail and Bradford Streets with an illegal firearm. The Albany County District Attorney's Office said Dent also had an illegal, loaded firearm in January 2024, and in the same month, brought contraband into the Albany County Correctional Facility.
He faces between eight and 12 years in prison when he's sentenced in October.
