Capital LAN 2024 celebrates local gaming community
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Capital Local Area Network (LAN), a four-day gaming event, is in full swing this weekend with tournaments, activities, and gaming zones. The gaming experience started Friday, Aug. 16, and it celebrated gaming culture and community with more than 72 hours of continuous gameplay through Sunday, Aug. 18.
NEWS10's Anthony Krolikowski emceed Friday night's gameplay at the Hilton Garden Inn. Tickets are still available and can be purchased through the CapitalLAN website.
The gaming event includes arcade and Virtual Reality (VR) zones, tabletop games, and famous title tournaments. All net proceeds will benefit the Connect Center of Cohoes, which offers STEAM programs that support CapitalLAN's mission of enhancing gaming communities.
