Carlos Prates (20-6 MMA, 3-0 UFC) absolutely laid out “The Leech,” Li Jingliang (19-9 MMA, 11-7 UFC), in a way we’ve seldom seen. Jingliang was out in a major, major way from Prates’ highlight-reel knockout late in the second around.

Former interim flyweight title challenger Kai Kara-France (25-11 MMA, 8-4 UFC) made a case to be right back in the picture with his first-round knockout of Steve Erceg (12-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) – who was coming off a title challenge of champ Alexandre Pantoja. The signature win had Kara-France asking to be next in line.

Dan Hooker def. Mateusz Gamrot via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

There was very little doubt throughout most of the main card lightweight fight between Dan Hooker (24-12 MMA, 14-8 UFC) and Mateusz Gamrot (24-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) that it was the best bout of the night so far. Hooker gave the fans in Australia a thrill when he pulled off a decent upset with a split decision. For Hooker, the bonus was his first since 2020 – when he had two Fight of the Night honors.
