Love Island’s Jessy Potts fuels Joey Essex split rumours as she fails to mention him while talking future plans
LOVE Island’s Jessy Potts has fueled the speculation that she and Joey Essex are no longer an item.
The couple, brutally dumped from the show right before the final, have hardly been seen together since returning to the UK.
Joey, 33, has been busying himself with fan meet and greets, while Jessy, 25, has been catching up with friends and family.
But now, in a recent interview with Heat World she didn’t mention Joey once.
When she was asked about her plans for what’s next, she said: “I just want to make the most of everything, I’m the type of person who takes every opportunity as it comes.
“I would love to get more into fashion and just try to make the most of what I’ve got and take every opportunity and just run with it.
I’m not sure exactly what’s to come yet but it’s all very exciting.”
She said how her “world had been turned upside down” after going on Love Island where she entered as a bombshell.
Jessy described being in the villa as a “bubble” and that she wanted to make the most of every day.
Joey has been partying with Rita Ora and best pal Vas J Morgan in Ibiza, while Jessy stayed at home.
The TOWIE star was celebrating Rita’s husband Taika Watiti’s birthday on the party island.
While Joey was partying in in Ibiza, Jessy, 25, was seen partying at Sheesh in Essex with fellow Love Island co-stars Ronnie Vint.
Joey took to social media to share a clip of him and Chloe at a glam garden party.
He was also reunited with former Towie star Vas Morgan, who is good pals with pop star Rita Ora.
Meanwhile back in Essex, Jessy seemed to be enjoying the time apart as she dolled up in a black cut-out off-the-shoulder jumpsuit.
The influencer showed off her toned figure as she posed for photos at the popular restaurant, often visited by Towie stars.
The couple has hardly been seen together since leaving the villa, with many fans suggesting they had a ‘showmance’.
Just a few days ago, Jessy was spotted enjoying the sunshine in Brighton with her friends and Joey was nowhere to be seen.
She threw a peace sign as she spun around on the waltzers, joking that she was a “big kid”.
While Jessy has been catching up with friends, Joey has been mobbed by fans.
The Towie star stopped to pose for selfies after he was spotted cycling through London.
Joey, 34, is known for his many appearances on reality TV such as Celebs Go Dating, I’m A Celebrity, and Dancing On Ice.
But it is his most recent stint on Love Island that has caused such a stir amongst fans.
He appeared at Pryzm in Kingston one night, where he greeted clubbers.
Jessy was also in London that night but she was out with friends for a birthday party.
This comes as fans accused the couple of faking their relationship for the sake of airtime.
Whilst the pair got off to a good start after they returned to reality, their dates appear to have dwindled.
Joey didn’t attend Jessy’s homecoming party which was thrown for her by family and friends.
Joey also revealed that he was quitting the UK to find fame in America during an interview with This Morning.
One took to Reddit to remark: “Not one time did he ever consider the fact that Jessy may or may not come with him to America – and quite frankly, I don’t think he gives a damn if she does.”
“How will Jessy even get to America? Is she going to America?
“Logistically speaking, Jessy isn’t gonna stop her career to see her boyfriend filming on set for some reality tv show.”
They also added: “It’s also safe to say that he doesn’t take her feelings into consideration when he constantly says, in various interviews and also on Love Island, that he went to the villa for a laugh. Joey didn’t give a s**t who he was paired with, as long as he got into the final as promised (which completely landed flat on his face).
“All of this leads me to think that Joey’s always gonna look out for number one – himself.”
