Liga MX: Canales shines as Monterrey goes top

MEXICO CITY, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- German Berterame and Sergio Canales scored either side of halftime as Monterrey rose to Mexico's Liga MX summit on Friday with a 2-1 away win over Puebla.

The visitors went ahead just after the half hour when Canales' long-range effort rebounded off the bar and into the path of Berterame, who slotted home from close range.
