News 4 teams with Bob Moore Auto Group, Our Blood Institute for blood drive

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Bob Moore Blood Drive kicked off at participating Bob Moore dealerships across the metro area Saturday with generous Oklahomans participating and donating blood towards a good cause.

Even with the brief morning rain, it didn't dampen the enthusiasm of an important community event that 'Our Blood Institute' uses to boost blood supplies.

Donors who gave blood received a coupon for $50 off an oil change at Bob Moore dealerships. Donors who return for the next Bob Moore Blood Drive in October will get $100 off an oil change and $1,000 off a purchase of a vehicle.

This is the 25th year of the Bob Moore Blood Drive and the timing is critical.

"Today is about giving back to the community. Bob Moore and the Blood Institute have been together for 25 years helping with blood shortages of the blood supply during the summer. Anyway we can help we'd be happy to do so," said James Samples, General Manager of Bob Moore Audi.
