Hugely popular hatchback is now nearly £3,000 cheaper in UK as new model released – with petrol & EV versions on offer
A BRITISH car brand has released a new hatchback edition that drives value for money.
Vauxhall has unveiled the new Astra Griffin Edition which boasts the unmissable silver griffin badging alongside a vizor grille, tinted rear windows and foglights.
Charge the electric car to 80% in as little as 26 minutes[/caption] The goal for this car is value for money[/caption]Vauxhall MD James Taylor told Car Dealer Magazine: “The Astra going electric is a big milestone for both our popular family car as well as for the Vauxhall brand as we move towards our commitment of only offering fully electric cars and vans from 2028.
“Astra electric and Astra Sports Tourer electric will offer everyday practicality, comfort and locally emission-free driving pleasure, combined with the innovative technology as well as bold and pure design language that Vauxhall is known for.”
The nonchalant electric drive has instant power, plus you can choose your climate before you go, with heated front seats and steering wheel.
Let the car guide your journey using charging stops – with built-in smart technology, paired through the MyVauxhall App.
The 100kW DC charging capability permits the electric Griffin to reach a 20 to 80% charge in as little as 26 minutes.
Plus, you can park with ease using the 180-degree parking camera.
The power for the car comes from 128bhp, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Prices for the 1.2-litre petrol hatchback start at £24,795, whereas the electric version comes in at £34,995 and £37,195 for the Sports Tourer.
Compared with the Design model, the petrol Griffin model is £2,775 cheaper, while the electric version cuts £2,800 off the starting price.
Order your Vauxhall Astra Griffin this August or wait for the petrol car, available to order in November.
