Ideal wind

Hey there!I began laser sailing about three weeks ago and since then I've only been able to come across winds that change between 4.5-6 knots.I'm pretty ignorant about the training conditions and my coach told me that I've started training under pretty harsh conditions,so I was wondering about the ideal circumstances for training.Could anyone help me out?
