PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- As of Friday night, crews have managed to line the Lee Falls Fire burning near Hagg Lake, dropping some evacuation levels. However, others are still in place as efforts to put out the fire continue into the weekend.

At around 9:30 p.m. Friday, the Gaston Fire District announced on social media that the fire was 100% lined, meaning a control line had been set up around the fire’s perimeter.

As a result, some areas of Cherry Grove have been reduced to Level 2 "Be Set" evacuation notices.

Level 3 “Go Now” evacuations: Parts of Cherry Grove and Washington County residents on Southwest Summit Avenue and Southwest Lee Falls Road. Also between Southwest Oak Street and Nixon Drive. Regions west of Lee Road and south of Southwest Sain Creek Road.

For the most up-to-date evacuation zones, residents can visit the Oregon Department of Emergency Management Map.

Nearby Henry Hagg Lake is also temporarily closed so aircraft can assist with firefighting efforts.

Officials say the wildfire started around 11 a.m. Thursday, prompting the evacuation notices that afternoon as it grew uphill and put several homes in jeopardy. The inferno has since grown to at least 280 acres with 75% containment as of Friday morning.

So far, no reports have been made for any structures damaged or destroyed by the fire.

However, the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office said said at least four people have been injured in the fire so far, including two firefighters, one contractor and one civilian.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
