Gran Tardeada Guadalupana: The fiesta – a fundraiser for the annual Our Lady of Guadalupe procession and Mass in early December in East Los Angeles – includes food, games, music and raffles, 2-8 p.m. Tickets $25 at the door or purchase in advance of the event. The Guadalupe Procession is the oldest religious procession in Los Angeles and the 93rd procession is held on Dec. 1, 2024. (donations to the procession may be made here: lacatholics.org/guadalupe). Los Angeles Catholic Prayer Breakfast: The event begins with a Rosary, 6:30 a.m., followed by a Mass celebrated by Archbishop José H. Gomez, 7 a.m., inside the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. The breakfast itself follows, with keynote speaker the Rev. Michael Schmitz (“The Bible in a Year” podcast), at 8 a.m. outdoors on the Cathedral Plaza.
