French police had to wait before questioning Scott as he was still “sobering up” in his jail cell yesterday morning.
An investigating source added at the time: “He was not in the right condition to be questioned straight away, so was put in a cell where he is still sobering up.”
The Utopia artist was seen sitting front row for the Olympic semi-final basketball contest between the US and Serbia on Thursday as he hyped up the crowd.
After returning to his five star hotel, Scott was reportedly seen in a wild fight with his own bodyguard before being hauled into custody, a police source told Valeurs Actuelles.
The rapper was intoxicated when the brawl erupted inside the George V hotel near the Champs-Élysées in the heart of Paris, the source said.
Sources close to Travis told The Sun no one was injured – and that Travis had been mobbed by fans all week while in Paris.
It was claimed he had blamed his bodyguard for not protecting him.
The source added cops “overreacted” – and insisted there was no violence in the row.
Footage of Scott at the Bercy Arena showed him alongside pal Quavo as the duo screamed and shouted court side as they watched the US move on to the final.
The rapper has been in trouble with the law several times over the last few years with wild footage, exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, showing him being hauled away while he shouts in disbelief, earlier this year.
It followed his arrest for disorderly intoxication and trespassing in June.
A police report said he was “walking backward and yelling obscenities” while handcuffed and appeared “erratic” and “yelling.”
After the arrest, Scott mocked his own bleary-eyed mug shot on as he posted it online with the caption “lol”.
Days later, he released a T-shirt with his mugshot printed on it.
Scott will reportedly be going back to court on September 10.
The Astroworld artist has also been arrested twice for provoking his audiences to rush the stage in defiance of security measures.
The musician pleaded guilty to public disorder charges at concerts in 2015 and 2018.
Once at Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago before again three years later at Scott’s first Astroworld Festival in 2018.
Scott is well known for his rap career as well as being the father of Kylie Jenner’s, 26, two children Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2.
