One dead after shooting in south Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – One person is dead after a shooting in south Columbus on Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to the 400 block of East Welch Avenue in the Vassor Village neighborhood at 6:42 a.m. Saturday on the report of a shooting, according to the Columbus Division of Police. 

One person was pronounced dead at 6:51 a.m. Police have not yet shared any further information.
