In the Netflix series, singletons are introduced to each other while in pods, and have entire dates without ever seeing each other.

It is only after a couple gets engaged that they first clap eyes on each other, just in time to get whisked away for a pre-honeymoon holiday – and start planning their wedding.

Matt and Emma got married themselves 16 years ago, and have a major milestone coming up.

The pair shared that they had a vow renewal ceremony for their ten year wedding anniversary, and are hoping to plan another for their twentieth.

In an exclusive interview with the TV mag, Emma coaxed: “Matt said we can’t do it for 20, but I think we should.”

Matt responded: “I think with a renewal of vows, 10 years is a thing – and then 25 years is a thing…”

His wife immediately questioned: “Why do we have to be stereotypical?”

He eventually gave in, holding his hands up exclaiming: “Alright, fine, I’m in!”

Matt is most famous for his role as the co-founder of pop punk band Busted.

He has also starred in EastEnders as Stacey Slater’s ex boyfriend Luke Riley.

Meanwhile, Emma is a broadcaster who has worked with Channel 5, the BBC, and ITV.

Delving into their love story, Emma admitted: “We’d met a couple of times when I interviewed Busted, so the notes I had on a cue card back then were very different to the notes I would have had in a pod with him!”

Matt added: “When we first started dating, neither of us thought we would be together [long-term]. We were just having fun and having great times. We never thought we’d get married or anything.”

His wife agreed: “Even when I was a little girl, I didn’t dream of wedding dresses and getting married. It’s not that I didn’t want that, I just wasn’t one of those big dreamers about that big day.

“I quite like the fact that it was that way and we didn’t expect anything to happen  – and then suddenly you’re like: ‘I can’t keep away from this person!'”
