Inside Strictly star Dr Punam Krishan’s stunning family home with stag themed room and adorable nursery

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Dr Punam Krishan is gearing up for her stint on the dance floor – and has a stunning home to kick back and relax away from the cameras.

The Morning Live star and broadcaster was the fifth celebrity to be confirmed for the popular BBC competition.

Ahead of the the likely gruelling hours of training, Punam has the perfect pad to unwind in.

Previously, the TV star has given fans glimpses into her home through social media updates.

One snap featured Punam holding up a drink towards the camera, while a striking picture of a stag is displayed on the wall behind her.

Another showed the star relaxed in what appears to be her living room.

Meanwhile, Punam has also showed off photos of her child’s adorable nursery.

The snaps show the contrasting pink walls and rug with the painted-white cot.

After it was revealed Punam is part of the 2024 Strictly line-up, she said: “This still doesn’t feel real, I am overjoyed to be a contestant on this year’s show.

“I have watched Strictly every year with my family and it feels extra special that it’s the 20th year, I can’t believe I will be the one getting Strictly-fied now.

“This is so out of my comfort zone, but I’m up for the journey and will give it my absolute all.”

Born in Glasgow to Indian parents, Punam has served as Morning Live‘s resident doctor since 2020.

In 2011, she married Sandesh Gulhane, a member of the Scottish Parliament for the Glasgow region and later welcomed two children.

Punam fronted the BBC Scotland programme Laid Bare in October 2019, which saw volunteer patients assessed by medics before she advised them about their health.

Also an author, her debut book How to Be a Doctor and Other Life-Saving Jobs was published in 2022.

Other BBC appearances include an episode of The Weakest Link in December 2022, where she was voted off in the second round.

As for Strictly, Punam is joining a cast which also features comedian Chris McCausland, who was officially announced earlier this week.

Chris, 47, will be the long-running programme’s first ever blind contestant.

Other revealed names so far are JB Gill, Wynne Evans, Toyah Willcox, Pete Wicks and Tasha Ghouri.
