My sister uses Botox but my $4 buy is nearly as effective at diminishing creases – plus I can move my face & she can’t

A SKINCARE enthusiast has shared an inexpensive hack that’s almost as good as a cosmetic injection.

She explained that she’s seen nearly the same results as her sister’s Botox treatments with the $4 buy.

Redditor HiveJiveLive shared the money-saving skincare tip in a post.

“I’ve been using medical tape while I sleep on [my] forehead, eyes, and nasolabial folds,” she said.

She explained that the tape worked in multiple ways to prevent wrinkles and reduce the appearance of pre-existing imperfections.

“It’s making a difference! It’s threefold, I think: it helps retain moisture, so it gives a plumping effect; it prohibits unconscious muscle use, so creasing is diminished; and it forces excess fluid away,” she said.

“Or at least keeps it from accumulating because the tape is a more rigid barrier than delicate skin.”

She explained that she initially began with silicone patches and while they worked well, she felt like the patches were clogging up her skin.

“Ultimately [it] felt like my skin couldn’t breathe, and I have to be careful about that because of underlying medical conditions,” she said.

“My sister uses Botox, and I swear my tape is nearly as effective.”

The tape, she said, gave her an edge that her sister doesn’t have.

“I still have facial mobility, and she does not,” she joked.

To apply the tape, she pulled her skin taunt before sticking it on.

“I don’t pull too hard — just enough to flatten out any creases I’m trying to combat,” she said.

“I also put it over all of my products/slugging. I feel that it both holds them in better and makes the tape easier to remove with very little residue behind.

“Then I just wash my face and do my morning routine. I’ll also do it on home-based days too. Figure it doesn’t hurt, right?”

A $4 pack of medical tape made all the difference to her wrinkles[/caption]

While she didn’t specify the brand of tape she used, skincare fans can purchase medical tape on Amazon for $4.

Those who purchased the tape for anti-aging purposes reported back with rave reviews.

“I got this to use with my castor oil and frankincense oil for my face; the tape works on top of the oils for no wrinkles. Will buy again,” said one reviewer.

“I’m using this to face tape, and so far so good!” said another.

“I found a tutorial online and saw noticeable results from taping my face each night.”

“I do face-taping at night, and it works great with my oil! It also is great to use when anything has to be taped to the body! Ex- foot pads! Works great,” echoed a third.
