Central govt deploys over 1200 personnel of NDRF, Army, Air Force, Navy among others for relief operation in Wayanad

The central government deployed more than 1200 rescuers following massive landslides in Wayanad, caused by heavy rainfall. A Bailey bridge, crucial for rescue missions, was erected within 71 hours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the landslides-hit region, while 226 bodies and 403 body parts have so far been recovered in the disaster-stricken area.
