0

The Latest Storm Tracker Forecast from Meteorologists Rob Lindenmuth, Kevin Appleby & Jordan Due

Quite the unsettled weather day we had across our viewing area! Almost everyone experienced heavy rain, and lots of heavy flooding occurred across the state. Here in the Capital Region, many flash flooding warnings were because of the heavy bands of rain. The winds were also quite strong, a lot of places saw up to wind gusts locally. As for observed rainfall, many places more south did see about 1-2" of rain but here in Albany we have seen about 4" of rain in the past two days.

Low temperatures for tonight are looking warmer here in Albany around 68. Other places to the north and west of Albany are looking to be slightly cooler, the same case for the Berkshires up to Bennington, VT. Tomorrow we are looking muggy to start with some warm temperatures. As the day continues the breeze picks up and we are looking to be warm but more importantly dry.

The remnants of Debby are moving very fast through our area. It'll still look cloudy and miserable out there and we could see some lighter rainfall before the overnight hours.

Tonight the cloudy conditions continue, but the showers and unsettled weather tapers. We dry out tonight and stay dry all day Saturday. Sunday the clouds start to return and there could be a chance to see a few showers a little later into the evening.

Futurecast high temperatures for the weekend look to be warm but not too warm, the humidity will also start to come down a little over the next couple of days.

Tonight the storms and showers will taper off. We'll look to be clearer later in the overnight hours. Tomorrow is going to be a great day to start the weekend. The breeze will pick up in the afternoon and we will see some blue skies and it; will look like a very seasonable and dry day.

The weekend looks to be great! Chance to see a shower north on Sunday. Monday there could be a few showers and the breeze returns. These shower chances could continue into Tuesday with temperatures still in the upper-70s until the middle of the week. Then we do look to have a more comfortable end of the week compared to the start with temperatures back in the low-80s.
