QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) --- Several NYPD officers ran into a burning Queens building and saved a woman trapped in her apartment before extinguishing the blaze, according to police video.

When a bystander told officers from the 115th Precinct about the fire in the six-story apartment building at 35-63 95 St., the cops rushed in and started warning tenants about the danger at around 11 p.m. on July 19, according to body-worn camera footage released by the NYPD.

After police found the fire in an apartment, one of the cops broke down the door with his leg before smoke billowed out into the hallway. As the fire alarms were blaring and the sprinklers soaked the officers, they helped a woman out of her unit, the footage showed.

"Hello, hello, someone's in there?" a cop asks before a woman responds.

"Walk to my voice," he told her.

"We're coming mam," another cop assured her.

The officers then grab fire extinguishers and try to out the blaze before firefighters arrive at the scene, according to the video.

Six cops were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation, police said. No other injuries were reported.
