FBI reveals new details about Trump shooter at private meeting with ex-president: report

During a private meeting with the FBI, former President Donald Trump was given new details about the ongoing investigation into Thomas Matthew Crooks, who opened fire during a Pennsylvania rally last month, ABC News reported.

According to sources which spoke with ABC, agents told Trump that Crooks was a quiet but "strikingly intelligent man who scored higher than 1500 on his SAT pre-college exam."

There was concern, however, that he was struggling with an "undiagnosed disorder."

Citing the sources who ABC said "were briefed on the meeting," the report said that the FBI has interviewed family and friends about Crooks and they were told that, for years, he would sway back and forth while standing at a bus stop.

The investigators surmised it may indicate an unknown medical condition that Crooks was not diagnosed with.

"When Trump asked the law enforcement officials about claims that Crooks was spotted on the nearby building's roof long before he first opened fire, and other claims that the Secret Service sniper who ultimately killed Crooks waited 10 minutes to take lethal action, the law enforcement officials made clear that such claims were not accurate," the report said, citing the sources.

Body-worn camera footage was released Thursday, showing local police cursing the Secret Service's work securing the site where the shooter was found.
