Austin's Paramount Theatre to host estate, vintage poster sale
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Those looking to capture a little slice of Austin history can look toward the Paramount Theatre's estate and vintage poster sale next weekend.
The historic downtown theater off Congress Avenue will have memorabilia, décor and other behind scenes items from past shows and events, according to an online news blurb. Items estate sale attendees can peruse through include:
- Posters from shows (including some autographed ones)
- Autographed guitars
- Rugs
- Vases
- Stools
- Lighting
- Table linens
- Standing desks
- Shelves
- Chairs
The main event is free and open to the public on Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, those looking to get early access can purchase a VIP ticket for a preview shopping event on Aug. 16 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The VIP option gives customers first access, two complimentary drinks as well as complimentary parking at the 600 Congress Ave. garage. Proceeds from the sales benefit both the Paramount & State Theatres.
