'He has amazing stories': Trump spokeswoman dodges question on fake helicopter tale
Former President Donald Trump on Thursday told a tall tale of a near-death experience in a helicopter that simply never happened.
During his rambling press conference, Trump talked about taking a helicopter ride with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown that ended in a scary emergency landing.
The New York Times subsequently reported that there are several problems with Trump's story: He never rode in a helicopter with Willie Brown, he actually rode in a helicopter with former California Gov. Jerry Brown, and there was no emergency landing.
During an interview on Newsmax Friday, Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was asked about this tall tale and managed to completely dodge the question.

"I would just refer you to president Trump's statement and what he said yesterday," she replied. "The president has a lot of amazing stories from his life. As we all know, he was a businessman and a celebrity for decades prior to entering politics. And I'll just leave it at that."
The Newsmax host did not answer any follow-up questions and simply thanks Leavitt for coming on their show.
