‘Smells the same!’ shoppers scream about Boots’ new Sol de Janeiro dupe that’s just £4 AND can be used in your hair
THERE’S a new Sol de Janeiro body mist dupe in town.
We’ve had copycats from Primark, Poundland and Home Bargains – and now, Boots has thrown its hat into the ring.
The retail giant has released its brand new Hair & Body Mist for just £4.
The product is brand new to shelves and not even available on the Boots website yet.
The pistachio, almond and salted caramel scent is an imitation of Sol de Janeiro’s flagship Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist.
Affectionately known as Number 62, it “is inspired by the year 1962, when we fell for the Girl from Ipanema and the iconic beach culture of Brazil,” Sol de Janeiro bosses say.
“Like the sundrenched wonder of Rio, you just can’t get enough,” a blurb reads.
“It’s the scent that started it all.
“Irresistible and sunny, this warm gourmand fragrance is the ultimate expression of Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian spirit.”
The scent took the UK by storm last year, with a 90ml bottle costing £24.
Since then, a number of brands have tried to replicate the fragrance for budget-conscious shoppers.
One shopper took to TikTok yesterday in a now-viral to alert other shoppers to Boots’ bargain dupe – which is a fresh addition to shelves.
“How does no one know about this?” she penned.
“Boots has a Sol de Janeiro dupe for £4.”
With the copycat scent, you get more than double the amount of product at 200ml.
“It’s new!” one shopper beamed on TikTok.

Others said the dupe “smells the same” as the real deal and dubbed its finishing notes as “so sweet”.
