Fortnite fans can grab free Disney cosmetics in massive live-stream crossover
DISNEY has just announced a new collaboration where its upcoming convention will crossover with Fortnite.
Fortnite is known for hosting crossover live events like the recent Metallica concert hosted within the game.
People are expecting more Disney skins to come to Fortnite shortly[/caption]However, this is the first time Fortnite will host D23, Disney’s annual convention, where new announcements are made to fans.
The Horizons part of D23 will be streamed live in Fortnite, and those who attend will receive a free Wolverine Peely back bling.
You don’t need to stick around for the whole showcase to receive your Wolverine-styled Peely cosmetic, but you’ll have to be in attendance for at least 10 minutes.
Epic Games has also said that the back bling might appear in the Item Shop in the future, but that hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing.
The livestream will take place on a custom Fortnite map, and players can enter the island an hour before the event starts.
The D23 Horizons event will be open to players from 7:30pm ET /10:30pm PT on Saturday, August 10, 2024, and from 3:30am UK time on Sunday, August 11, 2024.
While you can enter the map from this time you’ll have to wait for one hour before the livestream begins.
However, the server is expected to get very busy, and players might be required to log in as soon as possible.
This means that the D23 livestream will begin at 8:30pm ET / 11:30pm PT on Saturday, August 10, 2024, and at 4:30am UK time on Sunday, August 11, 2024.
Don’t worry if you can’t stay up to watch the event when it originally launches, as the livestream will play on a loop until Friday, August 16, 2024.
If you want to watch the D23 Horizons livestream, you will need to log into the event’s custom island.
To do this, you will need to navigate to the ‘Discover’ tab on the home page.
You then need to enter the Disney D23 Fortnite code 7908-6413-2516. This will let you land on the island so that you’re ready when the event kicks off.
Neither Disney nor Epic Games have revealed what will be announced during the livestream, but it seems obvious that it will be some form of collaboration.
Given the recent success of Deadpool vs Wolverine and the Wolverine back bling, these could be the theme of the next crossover.
