Minor earthquake hits Famagusta
An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred in Famagusta in the early hours of Friday morning.
According to the north’s met office, the earthquake took place around 19 kilometres away from the earthquake measuring station in the village of Engomi Ammochostou.
The epicentre’s exact coordinates, as given by the north’s met office, suggest the epicentre was off the coast of Paralimni.
The earthquake also took place at a depth of 39km.
