McDonald's Offering Millennial Childhood Nostalgia With New Products

McDonald's Happy Meals have been a staple at the fast food giant for decades, becoming an integral part of many millennials' childhoods. Now, you'll be able to relive some of that childhood with the Golden Arches' latest Happy Meal designed for adults. 

Starting Aug. 13, McDonald's customers in more than 30 countries will be able to purchase Collector's Edition cups celebrating iconic characters from the worlds of McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Mattel, Universal, Sanrio, or TY Beanie Babies. They'll be available in embossed glass or tritan plastic and will feature some beloved figures from many Gen X and millennials' childhoods. 

Some of the cups featured include the Grimace Mug, Pet Lovin' Barbie, and Shrek. If you want to relive some of McDonald's most iconic collaborations over the years, now's your chance. 

"There’s an undeniable thrill when you snag that one elusive McDonald’s collectible or the final piece to complete your collection," McDonald's global chief marketing officer and head of new business ventures Morgan Flatley said in a statement. "These new collectible cups commemorate some of our most unforgettable designs and global collaborations over the years, allowing longtime fans to relive treasured moments and helping a new generation make their own lasting memories."

Before rushing to the nearest McDonald's location, make sure you check your McDonald's app or with local participating McDonald's restaurants to see if you can get a Collector's Edition cup where you live. After that, you can enjoy as much soda in them as your heart desires.
