Two wanted after allegedly stealing human remains from New Orleans apartment

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying and locating a man accused of taking human remains from a Bywater home.
According to officers, on July 26 at 5 p.m., two men were seen allegedly entering an apartment complex in the 3700 block of Dauphine Street without permission.
The two were captured on security cameras in the area allegedly stealing a bike along with a package possibly containing the remains of a deceased person, according to NOPD officers.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call NOPD detectives at 504-658-6050.
