Troopers reported responding to the Northway Inn in Queensbury on August 4 for a burglary in progress with weapons. State Police say their investigation determined that Gregory allegedly forced entry into a hotel room with a weapon demanding money from the victim before fleeing.
According to State Police, Gregory was found hiding in a nearby hotel room with a knife before being arrested. Troopers say that later in the day, after Gregory's arraignment, Gregory allegedly had a dagger and lunged toward troopers with the weapon before being disarmed.
Law enforcement says they are investigating how he came to have the dagger. While in police custody, Gregory was also identified as the alleged suspect in a July 19 robbery.
Gregory allegedly stole from someone and then when the victim tried to confront him he allegedly took their purse and stole items from it before fleeing. He was arraigned at the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and placed in the Washington County Correctional Facility without bail.
