ILKAY GUNDOGAN is one of 10 players who could leave Barcelona this summer, according to reports.
New boss Hansi Flick is preparing for his first season in charge of the Catalan giants, as they bid to compete with Real Madrid after finishing second last term.
Sport has claimed that Gundogan – who only joined on a free last summer- is among those on the chopping block.
The former Manchester City star reportedly wants to stay at the Nou Camp, but an acceptable offer from somewhere else may see him leave the club after just one campaign.
Gundogan, 33, has been linked to Fenerbahce and Galatasaray during his time in Spain.
Cash-strapped Barca must decide whether to cash in or take the chance of losing him for free next summer.
Barcelona can sign players but no new arrivals can be registered with La Liga as they are in breach of their league salary limit, which is calculated according to club revenue.
Other stars on the chopping block include 22-year-old right-back Julian Araujo, centre-back Clement Lenglet and Mikayil Faye.
While former Leeds star Raphinha is not exempt from being ditched within a year of signing and Brighton loanee Ansu Fati could be departing.
Promising Brazilian youngster Vitor Roque could be offloaded to Lazio and has not featured in Barcelona’s pre-season games.
Inigo Martinez could reportedly be sold to ease Barcelona’s wage bill, while Alex Valle could be axed.
Meanwhile, Dani Olmo is set to be confirmed as the club’s latest signing after undergoing a medical earlier this week.
Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams was linked with a move to Barcelona earlier in the window after impressing for Spain at Euro 2024.
However, the 22-year-old confirmed on Tuesday that he would be staying at Bilbao and told fans that he was looking forward to the upcoming season.
Barcelona’s economic issues are well documented with the Catalan side struggling to make big-money signings over the last season.
At the start of last season, the club’s salary cap was slashed by almost 50 per cent, from £558m to £232m before again being decreased earlier this year.
