Woman sentenced in January 2021 murder case

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman was sentenced May 29 in connection with a January 2021 murder, according to Travis County court documents.
Documents showed 26-year-old Lashell Linton was given a 15-year sentence after pleading guilty to a first-degree murder charge involving a firearm.
The charge was related to the January 29, 2021, death of 19-year-old Jose Rodriguez.
Toward her sentence, Linton received a jail credit of 1090 days.
