Soccer checks in at No. 16 in preseason poll

FAYETTEVILLE – For the fifth straight season, the Hogs will begin the year ranked in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll, which was released Tuesday.

The Hogs come in at No. 16 after finishing the 2023 season ranked No. 17. Arkansas won the SEC regular-season championship last year, its fourth in five seasons.

Six of the Razorbacks’ opponents will start the year in the top 25: No. 3 BYU, No. 13 Michigan State, No. 17 Texas, No. 18 Mississippi State, No. 21 South Carolina and No. 25 Texas A&M.

Arkansas will resume its exhibition schedule on Friday, Aug. 9, at Kansas State.
