Sabrina Carpenter Makes Rare Comments About Boyfriend Barry Keoghan, Hints at if She's Singing About Him on New Album

Sabrina Carpenter made some very rare comments about her relationship with her boyfriend Barry Keoghan.

The 25-year-old “Espresso” hitmaker and the 31-year-old Saltburn actor have been romantically linked for months now, but they largely keep their romance out of the press.

In a new interview, Sabrina shed some light on Barry and paid him a very sweet compliment. She also revealed if she’ll be singing about their relationship on her new album Short n’ Sweet.

Speaking to Variety, Sabrina opened up about Barry starring in the music video for her single “Please Please Please.”

“He loved the song. He’s obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that,” she told the outlet. She continued, adding, “I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation. So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special.”

While fans have speculated that the song is about their relationship, Sabrina hinted that it was not the case.

She told the outlet that Short n’ Sweet was largely not inspired by current events in her life.

“It feels easier to write about things that happened in the past, or that haven’t happened yet,” she explained. “My producers tell me I’m beating a dead horse because I’ll write a song three years after I last spoke to the person who inspired the lyric.”

Sabrina also had some things to say about a famous friendship.
