Important notes
Start times and obstacle lists will be displayed on a notice board near the toilet and secretary’s room at the top left as you come onto the car parking.
When walking/riding between the car park and field please be aware of moving vehicles, both horseboxes arriving/leaving and liveries in their cars may cross your path.
The warm up is left out of parking up the road and to the small gate on the right.
Please use green (novice/young) or red (kicker) tail ribbons as appropriate for your horse, and please give plenty of space to any horse wearing a ribbon.
The obstacles will be in the field down from the warm up and the one attached to the left
The control of paces will take place starting in the first field. Once you have finished, go straight to the start of the PTV.
The map room is round the back of the farm near the arena.
Things to bear in mind for the classes:
The TREC GB rulebook is available to download for free https://trecgb.com/rules/rulebook/
Competitors cannot be given any assistance by the judges on the course.
If you want to miss an obstacle out you must ride up to it, halt and tell the judge that you won’t be attempting it.
Circling or stepping back at any point before an obstacle counts as an effectiveness fault.
Keep the red flags on your right & white flags on your left.
The PTV course will be timed and if you are struggling to complete an obstacle, move on to the next otherwise you risk running out of time and incurring penalties.
Passports – All vaccines have been checked prior to the competition so we do not need to see your horse’s passport before you unload. However, you must carry your horse’s passport with you when transporting them as per government rules.
Parking – please park as directed by a parking steward or according to the venue plan. Please leave the hard standing as you find it i.e. clear up after your horse. Please do not leave your horse tied up to your trailer/lorry on its own. If you have a large vehicle you might prefer to park round the back.
Vet The local veterinary practice Equine Veterinary Centre at Moorhouse will be on call in case of emergency. Their number is 01977 652280, and the organiser should also be informed if the vet is required during the event.
Horse welfare If you or your horse show symptoms or are unwell in any way or have been in contact with any infectious disease, then you and/or your horse should not attend the event’.
