Man who fatally shot Schenectady woman dies from self-inflicted gunshot wound
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The man who shot and killed a Schenectady woman has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
The incident took place on July 31 on Charles Street. Police said the man shot Ericka Brown before shooting himself in the head. Brown, a mother of three, was killed just hours before her birthday.
The man had been in police custody in the hospital before he died from his injuries. Eyewitnesses said the man had previously been in a relationship with Brown, and he was the father of one of her children.
