Women's Health Wednesday: Immunization Awareness Month
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - August is National Immunization Awareness Month. It's to highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages.
According to the CDC, vaccination is one of the best ways parents can protect infants, children, and teens from potentially harmful diseases. But as people age, vaccines can wear off so it's important for adults to follow guidelines related to their age and lifestyle.
In this week's Women's Health Wednesday, Stephen de Waal Malefyt, MD with the AMC General Pediatric Group, talks about the benefits of immunization, new information for expectant mothers, and some unique ways to make sure you don't forget to schedule your appointments with the doctor.
