Former deputy gets probation for assaulting teen crime suspect at mall

A Lucas County sheriff’s deputy caught on camera kicking a downed, teenage suspect outside Franklin Park Mall last year was convicted Wednesday of a negligent assault charge after entering a no contest plea.
