LAWTON, Okla. (KFOR) - The Lawton Farmers Market is bringing out the pickles at its Pickle Fest scheduled for Saturday, August 10.
Participants in these competitive events can expect the following categories for Homemade Pickle:

All entries can be submitted at the market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, or no later than 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Judging begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m.
Winners will be announced once the tickets are counted. The public will help judge the pickles, according to event organizers.
Attendees bringing the little ones out can expect a Kids Corner with pickle-themed coloring sheets and some pickle juice. There will be a Pickle Eating Contest and the crowning of the 2024 Pickle King and Pickle Queen. Registration for the Pickle Eating Contest is from 8-10:15 a.m. in the outdoor Pavilion for both king and queen contestants.
The event is free and open to the public.
