A STYLISH hot hatchback with a blistering top speed that matches the BMW M3 can be yours for less than £11,000.
The powerful Seat Leon Cupra 300 is performance version of the well-known little motor that’s become a staple of British roads.
Built between 2017 and 2018, the Leon Cupra 300 boasted a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine capable of an eye-popping 296 bhp.
That mounts to a 0-62 mph acceleration in 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.
To give that some context, the base model BMW M3 – perhaps the most iconic high-performance Beemer – has roughly the same top speed.
What’s more, the Leon Cupra 300 is second-hand bargain – despite its pace, good looks and being relatively new.
In fact, we found a stunning example on Autotrader for £10,995.
The 2018 model has just 61,000 miles on the clock, features a 6-speed manual gearbox, and styled with 19-inch alloy wheels and a striking white finish.
Inside, there’s a leather interior complete with Apple Car Play, mirror link and front and rear parking sensors.
What’s more, serious petrolheads considering buying the Leon Cupra R – which is limited to just 799 units – could simply pick up the Cupra 300 as their power output is nearly matched.
Meanwhile, the new Cupra Leon was recently released in the UK with a top speed of 142 mph.
The manufacturer has promised fans that they have not “held back on performance” while perfecting the car, which comes in at around £6,000 cheaper than its main competitor – the VW Golf GTI.
