Update on students restoring 1967 Corvette convertible
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- In June, NEWS10 reported on students from the Capital Region BOCES who were working to rebuild a legend of the road. The automotive trades technology program students are working to repair a 1967 Corvette convertible.
Students have been working on the car for the past four years for a private customer. The project took on a life of its own after being initially brought in for minor work.
“It’s a good experience,” said rising senior Joe Berube of Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, an aspiring automotive engineer. “Hopefully, it will be done by the time we complete our senior year.”
“I like old cars and I enjoy the work I am getting to do on this. It allows us to see how the technology was and how it has advanced,” said rising senior Nolan DiLorenzo of Shenendehowa.
