The hack was shared on Instagram by self-styled Coupon Queen, Holly Smith.

According to Holly, Superdrug employees will fill up any Perfume Pod Ice Atomiser with a scent of your choice, so long as you purchase the pod in-store.

The Perfume Pod Ice is a refillable travel atomiser – basically, a mini and refillable perfume bottle.

They cost £6.99 to buy in Superdrug.

However, members of the cosmetic store’s loyalty scheme – which is free to sign up for – can nab one for £5.94.

Holly provided a “quick rundown” on Instagram for anyone not familiar with the hack.

“You can find perfume pods at the checkout for £6.99,” she explained.

“Once purchased, you can select any fragrance off the shelf, no matter how much it costs.

“A member of staff will fill up your perfume pod with that fragrance.

“These are reusable and they’re also great for travelling.”

Her video has since gone viral – with fellow beauty buffs providing even more information about the savvy scheme.

“I bought mine about two weeks ago and the lady in superdrug said if I keep the receipt I can bring it back and refill for free,” Carla Marie claimed.

“I got mine this morning and they filled it up for free for me too,” Hayley Wood added.

A blurb on the perfume pod reveals that the plastic is shatter proof and scratch resistant.
