Hotel collapses killing one & leaving 8 others trapped including family as toddler, 2, rescued from rubble in Germany
ONE person is dead and others horrifically trapped under a partially collapsed hotel in Kröv, Germany on Wednesday.
The body of the deceased person was located but couldn’t be recovered yet police say, who established contact with some individuals still horrendously trapped.
One person died in the incident[/caption] A firefighter was seen heroically carrying a woman out to safety[/caption]Those who got trapped also reportedly sustained severe injuries, local police say.
The hotel collapsed overnight near the the banks of the river Moselle in Germany.
Firefighters were initially unable to reach those who were trapped out of fear the hotel would further collapse.
The person who died in the horror accident was located but could not yet be recovered, police say.
Cops believe 14 people were in the hotel when the accident happened.
But five escaped without injury.
Police said: “Due to the nature of the damage, this is an extremely demanding operation.”
They also said how 31 neighbours had to evacuate their homes for safety reasons.
The cause of the incident is currently unknown.
