Sheikh Hasina is back in Delhi for safety after nearly 50 years
Bangladesh Air Force plane C130J carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina landed at the Indian Air Force base at Hindon after being forced to quit. Hasina had a similar experience in 1975 when she first sought asylum in India after her father's assassination. She lived a low-profile life in Delhi until 1981, forming close relationships with leaders like Indira Gandhi and Pranab Mukherjee. Now, she remains in Delhi to decide where to seek asylum.
