Kansas Democratic Party Chair reacts to Harris' VP announcement
TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Kansas Democratic Party is reacting to Vice President Harris’ choice for Vice President.
Party chair, Jeanna Repass said the party believes Walz will help Harris to put working families, seniors and young people first. She also said the qualities Walz brings to the ballot will make him a great choice for the ticket.
"Governor Walz is a straight shooter, he's a teacher, a former coach, he's ex-military, he's been in Congress, and he understands all of America," Repass said. "Working America, rural America, he knows how to get things done. So, he's going to be a great balance on that ticket."
Harris recently announced Walz as her pick for vice-president on Tuesday, Aug. 6. He is the current governor of Minnesota and was born in Nebraska. You can learn more about him by clicking here.
