Sensex gains 767 pts; oil & gas shares in demand

At 10:30 ST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was up 767.85 points or 0.98% to 79,360.82. The Nifty 50 index gained 276.60 points or 1.15% to 24,269.15.
