Yayha Sinwar named Hamas's new political leader, prompting Israeli calls to 'eliminate' him

Known as one of Hamas's founders and considered a key orchestrator of the October 7th attacks on Israel, Yayha Sinwar has been named the new leader of the group. Israel openly places him top of its "kill list", with IDF Lieutenant-General Herzi Halevi calling him "as good as dead".
